There are costs and risks associated with hiring an independent contractor that many people do not consider.  By hiring a home care worker directly, the individual consumer and their family takes on the responsibilities as their employer. This includes paying for the employee's payroll taxes, workers compensation, unemployment insurance, and liability. If the employee gets hurt during their time providing care you will also be responsible for all medical bills and any other expenses related to the injury.

Country Care Companions assumes all responsibilities for ensuring all employment taxes and insurances are paid.  Employees are also fully covered by workman's compensation insurance and are bonded and insured.

This is entirely up to the client and their family.  You have the ability to adjust or stop our services at any time.

We thoroughly screen all potential employees by conducting criminal background and sexual offender checks.   We also investigate driving records, verify work history as well as check personal and professional references.

All Country Care Companions caregivers are bonded and insured.

We'll be happy to discuss our screening process in more detail during your complimentary assessment.
